Ballybrown Defibrillators:
Ballybrown GAA Club are calling on all our supporters to come along at 2pm on St. Stephens Day for a 5K charity walk/run over Newtown Hill to help pay for the refurbishment of our two Defibrillators and to offset the cost of training in their use, which will take place shortly in the new year. Defibrillators are those machines which are used to give an electric shock to a patient whose heart has stopped. One of the Defibrillators is on the outside wall of the Ballybrown GAA Club and is available at all times to anyone in an emergency, the second is curently located in the new field.Hopefully the two in Ballybrown will never have to be used, but Defibrillators have saved many lives up and down the Country and are a vital piece of equipment in every parish.Donation buckets will be at the Club on the day and all donations are welcome.
Q3 County Senior Hurling Championship 2016:
The draw for the 2016 Championship took place on Monday 14th December at the Annual Convention. Ballybrown were drawn once again in a very strong group. The line up of matches will see Ballybrown play, first South Liberties, second newly promoted Bruree, third Kilmallock, fourth Doon and fifth NaPiarsaigh with the first round being played probably in May. With three teams to quality for the knockout stages and one team to be relegated its going to be a big challenge, but our lads are well capable of reaching the quarterfinal. Best of luck lads.
Limerick GAA Development Draw:
The final draw took place on Friday 18 December. After a great run for Ballybrown over the last few months unfortunately we had no winners this month. On behalf of Ballybrown GAA Club I would like to thank all who supported the draw in 2015. A full list of winners can be seen on the Ballybrown. Website, Facebook or Twitter.
