Croom recently held the AGMs for both its adult and it’s underage clubs. There were no changes in the top tables in either. After last year’s championship we have been regraded to Premier Intermediate and there is a great determination to return to senior status as soon as possible. We remain at Junior level in football and will also field a hurling team at Junior. At our first Committee meeting in the New Year the various sub-committees will be announced as will the selectors for each team. We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in the club for all their hard work during the past year, be it with teams or in the running of it, also all our supporters and sponsors and those that took part in our Lottery and various fund raising activities like the Golf Classic or quizzes and of course the County Development draw which is a valuable source of badly needed funding for the club. We also thank those who took out advertising on the hoarding surrounding the pitch. Again we thank everyone and hope for your continued support for the next year as we face into major developments with the construction of new dressing rooms.
Bord na nOg:
Our underage club were also delighted to announce that they will be A Host club for the Peil na nOg which will be held in Limerick in 2016.
We had a very well supported event on St Stephens Day which was very enjoyable despite the weather. The results will be printed next week.
Tickets for the GAA national draw can be got from club members, there are some fabulous prizes and all the proceeds go to the club.
Numbers drawn 1,10,16 and 25. No jackpot winner. Lucky dips €30 Garret Sheerin C/o Spar, Liz Moloney C/o A Burke, €20 E Corbett C/o Hogans, John McAllen C/o Bride Kiely, John O Rourke, Eileen Kiely Kylefea, Conor Shanahan Carrigeen. Next week’s draw is on in Tangneys with a jackpot of €7950.
We wish everyone a happy and peaceful New Year.
