U14 Hurling:

Patrickswell travelled to Martinstown for their Feile match against Cois Laoi Gaels. The game was played in very breezy conditions, which made the match a traditional ‘game of two halves”. Patrickswell played into the stiff breeze, but managed to strike the first point. Cois Laoi Gaels began to take advantage of the elements and raced into a 1-2 to 0-1 lead. However the ‘Well responded with three consecutive points and closed the gap to 1-2 to 0-4. Unfortunately the ‘Well were hemmed in for the remainder of the first half as their opponents built a 3-7 to 0-5 interval gap.
The second half saw a spirited revival by Patrickswell as they played with the wind at their backs. There were two goals and two points to slash the deficit to 3-8 to 2-7 with five minutes left. Cois Laoi managed to weather the storm and held on to win by 3-9 to 2-7. Hard luck to the players and management.
